Hoptown Gets Road Win; Madisonville Wins at Home

Hopkinsville Hoppers 7 Owensboro Oilers 6 - 11 innings
Another close game for the Hoppers as they beat the Oilers in extra innings at Owensboro. Hoptown was the first to score in the 1st inning with one run, and the Oilers took the lead in the 2nd with 3 runs scored. The Hoppers tied it at 3 all in the top of 3rd only to have Owensboro put up 3 more in the bottom half of the innings.
Hoptown chipped away scoring 2 in the 5th and 1 in the 7th to tied the game again 6-6. The tie was broken in the top of the 11th with the Hoppers scoring on an Oiler error, one of 7 committed in the game by Owensboro.
The Hoppers offense was led by Jake Sandlin, 2 of 5, 2 scored and a RBI, and Brad Sevenish also 2 or 5, one scored and 2 RBI's. Malduino Gonzalez was 2 for 5, one scored and 3 RBI's for the Oilers. Tyhler Vails takes the win pitching the final 3 innings giving up only 1 hit. The loss goes to Jonathan Brinez throwing the final 4 innings for Owensboro.
Madisonville Pirates 15, Fulton Railroaders 4
Tradewater put it all together in a 15-4 victory over Fulton at home Monday evening, as starter and winner Dillon Endecott threw six innings of 4 hit ball, with just one earned run and 6 strikeouts. He received able relief assistance from Chad Cox and closer Corey Ames.
The Pirates produced two big innings, with seven runs in the second, and five in the eighth, on a night that saw them rap 15 hits. Cody Hyden had a big home run, was 2-3; Blake Massey was 2-4 with 2 ribbies; and Buddy Elgin produced 2 ribbies, with a 4-5 night.
Pirate right-fielder Joe Black came up big as well, with a 3-5 night and 2 ribbies, and provided some fireworks, going all the way around the bases following his bunt, that produced a throw-away, allowing Joe to go...go...go...all the way home..... and Logan Leverett had trifecta RBI's.
The Pirates now float down to Fulton to meet a band of angry Roaders, Tuesday night.
