For the second straight week, University of Louisville freshman quarterback Lamar Jackson was tabbed the ACC Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Making his second-straight start at quarterback, Jackson led the Cardinals to a 20-13 ACC road win over NC State last Saturday in Raleigh, N.C. The native of Pompano Beach, Fla., recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season, totaling 121 yards and one touchdown, while throwing for 103 yards and one score. He became the school-record holder for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season with 435.
Jackson recorded his second touchdown run of over 65 yards when he raced 68 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to put the Cardinals ahead 7-0. He put the Cardinals up 14-0 in the second quarter when he connected with Devante Peete for a 20-yard touchdown.
