Denzel Mahoney scored 14 points to lead six Southeast Missouri State players in double figures and the Redhawks beat Murray State 82-69 on Thursday night.

Despite being two-games below the .500 mark overall, the Redhawks (14-16, 9-6) are currently tied with UT-Martin for first place in the Ohio Valley West Division standings with one game remaining.

Antonius Cleveland, Jamaal Calvin, and Tahj Eaddy each finished with 13 points for SE Missouri State, while Jaylen Benton added 12 and Trey Kellum chipped in 10. The Redhawks shot 56.4 percent overall and hit 12 3-pointers.

Bryce Jones led all scorers with 18 for Murray State (14-15, 8-7). Jonathan Stark and Terrell Miller Jr. each added 17.

SE Missouri State took a double-digit lead on a Cleveland jumper with 14:40 remaining. The Racers stayed within striking distance for much of the half, but a Mahoney 3 with 4:47 remaining made it 74-59, effectively ending any comeback hopes.
