Racer Basketball Big Part of ESPN TV Schedule

MURRAY, KY - The Murray State men’s basketball team will again be a big part of the Ohio Valley Conference's television partnership with the ESPN family of networks in the 2012-13 season.
The Racers will be included in four games of seven featuring the OVC on ESPNU this season, including a pair of road games at Southeast Missouri State (Jan. 5) and at Tennessee Tech (Jan. 24). MSU’s home contests against Austin Peay (Feb. 2) and Belmont (Feb. 7) will also air on ESPNU. Additionally, a “wildcard” game will be selected from the games on March 2 for air on ESPNU; the Racers host SEMO on that day.
The 2013 OVC Tournament is also scheduled to be on air, with semifinals airing on ESPNU and ESPN3. The first semifinal at 6 pm will be on ESPNU with the 8 pm semifinal airing on ESPN3 live and on ESPNU delayed at 12:30 am. The OVC Tournament championship game will air March 8 at 6 pm on ESPN2.
The Racers will also be featured when they participate in the Charleston Classic in November. MSU’s first game in the event against Auburn Nov. 15 is on ESPN3 at 7 pm. MSU’s second game in the tournament against St. John’s or the College of Charleston (Nov. 16) will air at either 4:30 pm on ESPN3 or 6:30 pm on ESPNU. MSU’s third game opponent (Nov. 18) will come against Baylor, Boston College, Colorado or Dayton and could air on one of the ESPN channels.
More MSU Basketball games will be televised this season through the Racer TV Network with the schedule to be announced later. Racer TV Network games are carried locally by Time-Warner, Mediacom, Murray Electric cable systems.
