Former Caldwell County standout Emma Talley turned in another solid performance Saturday at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships. The Alabama junior enters play on Sunday in second place individually at 1-under 143. She trails USC's Annie Park by one shot with Park through 11 holes of her second round at the par-72, 6,468-yard Concession Golf Club.

Talley, from Princeton, KY, started quickly with a birdie on the first hole of her second round. She played the front nine at even-par 36.

After bogeying back-to-back holes, Talley bounced back by making birdie on the par-3 sixth, a hole she bogeyed in round one. Through the morning tee times, Talley recorded the only birdie on No. 6.

The afternoon session of the second round was suspended for the day at 6:25pm.

In the team competition, Southern California is currently in first place at 14-over, followed by Duke in second at 23-over, Tennessee third at 27-over and Baylor fourth at 28-over. Alabama is 41-over and in a tie for 13th.
