The Princeton native was 3-under through 15 holes and in sole possession of second place when play was suspended on Friday.
Talley, a junior at the University of Alabama, played a near flawless first nine, carding three birdies and playing a bogey-free nine. Talley would get to 4-under on the day with a birdie on No. 3 and take the individual lead, but gave back a stroke with a bogey on the par-3 sixth.
Talley will resume her first round on the seventh hole, one shot off the individual lead of Stanford's Mariah Stackhouse.
