Ballard's Owsley Signs with MacMurray College

Ballard Memorial High School senior Cash Owsley signed to play football for MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL, last week at BMHS. MC’s Highlanders play in the NCAA’s Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.

Owsley was a four-year starter at BMHS as a defensive back. His stats include six kick-off returns and seven punt returns for touchdowns, part of his 19-TD total in the last two years. Against Massac County this year, he scored on a punt return and then intercepted a pass on their first play and ran it back to the 1-yard line, almost scoring two TDs on consecutive plays without an offensive snap.

MacMurray Coach Chris Douglas said in an email that he looked forward to Owsley making an impact for the Highlanders on special teams and defense.
