Marshall County High School on Wednesday officially announced the hiring of Aaron Beth as its new head girls golf coach. Coach Beth will return to his alma mater where he was a decorated high school athlete during his career.

Beth was a standout soccer and basketball player, leading both teams to three state tournament appearances in the late 1980's. Beth was inducted as a member of the Marshall County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

For the past five years, Beth has been the head girls basketball coach at Graves County.

"Coming home is something special," Beth said. "I am excited about wearing the orange and blue again. It was tough to leave Graves County and my players, but it was time to come back home. I can't wait to get to the course this summer, compete this fall with the girls and start working on winning a state championship."

"We are excited to have the opportunity to hire Aaron to lead our girls' golf program," said Mike Johnson, MCHS Athletic Director. "He is a great coach and has proven that his teams will always compete at a high level and improve during the season. He will continue to build on the success of our girls program and compete for a state championship."
