Here are scores from Friday night's high school football games involving local teams.

McCracken County 40, Henderson County 17

The Colonels gave McCracken County their toughest test in district play so far this season, but the Mustangs didn’t break much of a sweat in clinching their third consecutive class 6A first district title.

Coming into the game, the biggest storyline for the Mustangs was the health of starting quarterback Cash Jones. A game-time decision, head coach Shawn Jackson felt comfortable sending Jones out and the junior didn’t disappoint. He finished the night 18 of 25 for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Darian Woods,  Tyce Daniel, and Dalton Lanphear were on the receiving end of the scores for McCracken.

The Mustangs, winners of seven in-a-row, are idle next week.

Calloway County 54, Webster County 6

The Calloway County Lakers pushed their winning streak to four games with 54-6 thumping of Webster County Friday night. Never scared to air it out, Laker quarterback Cole Stetson had a huge night, throwing for five touchdowns to lead the rout. Three of Stetson’s touchdown passes came in the first six minutes of the first quarter, as this one looked over from the get go.

The Lakers return to district play next week as the go on the road to Hopkinsville.

Owensboro 50, Marshall County 7

The Marshals struggles on special teams continued Friday as they fumbled the opening kickoff, leading to an Owensboro touchdown. Down 36-0 at half time, the Marshals couldn’t muster enough momentum to get back into it, especially having to work against a running clock.

The Marshals return home next week to host Trigg County.
