Friday nights in the month of January were made for basketball. The roar of the student section cheering on their school in hopes of a victory, the echoes of the ball being dribbled against the hardwood floor, and coaches leaving the gymnasium with pride or in defeat. This is what will be found at Reed Conder Gymnasium located in Marshall County High School tonight against Calloway County.

The Lady Lakers and Lady Marshals will kick the night off at 6 pm. While Calloway lost their last game, they will be looking for the win against Marshall to get their 10th win of the season. Marshall won their last game over the weekend. 

The Lady Marshals are currently 10-8, while the Lady Lakers are 9-7. 

Three key players to watch for the Lady Marshals are Cayson Conner, Halle Langhi, and Layne Pea. In 18 games, Conner has 79 2-point field goals scored, eight 3-point field goals scored, 68 free throws scored, a total of 250 points and 13.9 total points per game. In 18 games, Langhi has 93 2-point field goals scored, three 3-point field goals scored, 50 free throws scored, a total of 245 points and 13.6 total points per game. In 18 games, Pea has 30 2-point field goals scored, 22 3-point field goals scored, 15 free throws scored, a total of 141 points and 7.8 total points per game. 

Three key players to watch for the Lady Lakers are Charlee Settle, Elle Carson, and Skylar Waller. In 16 games, Settle has 90 2-point field goals scored, 11 3-point field goals scored, 112 free throws scored, a total of 325 points and 20.3 total points per game. In 16 games, Carson has 38 2-point field goals scored, 3-point field goals scored, 31 free throws scored, a total of 161 points and 10.1 total points per game. In 16 games, Waller has 17 2-point field goals scored, 20 3-point field goals scored, 25 free throws scored, a total of 119 points, and 7.4 total points per game. 

With both the Calloway and Marshall boys coming off of their own victories, the match up between the two will leave the crowd on the edge of their seats as key players steal the show on both sides of the court. 

Going into tonight’s game, Marshall is currently 11-9, while Calloway sits comfortably with a record of 13-7. Game time is set for 7:30 pm. 

Three key players to watch for the Marshals are Zion Harmon, Tyler Stokes, and Tyler Powell. In 19 games played, Harmon has 114 2-point field goals scored, 62 3-point field goals scored, 66 free throws scored, a total of 480 points and 25.3 total points per game. In 20 games played, Stokes has 97 2-point field goals scored, 22 3-point field goals scored, 46 free throws scored, a total of 306 points and 15.3 total points per game. In 20 games, Powell has 52 2-point field goals scored, 31 3-point field goals scored, 45 free throws scored, a total of 242 points with 12.1 total points per game. 

Three key players to watch for the Lakers are Chandler Steele, Cade Butler, and Kade Mize. In 20 games played, Steele has 95 2-point field goals scored, six 3-point field goals scored, 80 free throws scored, a total of 288 points scored and 14.4 total points per game. In 20 games played, Butler has 48 2-point field goals scored, 35 3-point field goals scored, 47 free throws scored, a total of 248 points and 12.4 total points per game. In 20 games played as well, Mize has 40 2-point field goals, 34 3-point field goals, 22 free throws scored, a total of 204 points and 12.4 total points per game.
