Former Super Bowl MVP Ray Lewis is coming to McCracken County High School. Lewis will speak at the Strawberry Hills Arena at 7 pm Saturday, Aug. 17, as part of “An Evening of Excellence with Ray Lewis, sponsored by the McCracken County High School football booster club.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Meet and Greet begins at 6 pm. Upper level seating is $45, main level seating is $65 and Meet and Greet tickets are an additional $125. Tickets will go on sale soon.

Lewis played his entire professional career, 17 seasons, for the Baltimore Ravens.  He was selected to 13 Pro Bowls and named an Associated Press All-Pro 10 times. He won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2000 and 2003, becoming the sixth player to win the award multiple times. Lewis was also the second linebacker to win the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award and the first to win the award on the winning Super Bowl team.

After a triceps tear that sidelined him for most of the 2012–13 season, Lewis returned for playoffs and guided the Ravens playoff run and a victory in Super Bowl XLVII. On March 13, 2013, it was announced that Lewis was joining ESPN as a contributor for their NFL coverage.
