Mike Rogers has stepped down as varsity football coach at Paducah Tilghman High School.

During a phone interview Friday night, Rogers said his decision was for personal reasons. He said it was not due to any problems with school administrators or players.

Rogers took over the Tilghman football program in 2014 and led the Blue Tornado to a 15-10 record over two seasons. He led his team to the Class 3A Region 1 Championship game in his first season.

Rogers said he's not sure what the immediate future holds but said he could see himself coaching again down the road.

Prior to coming to Tilghman, Rogers had head coaching stops at Graves County and Warren Central.
