Roderick Thomas announced his resignation as Paducah Tilghman High School boys basketball head coach on March 13.

Thomas was head coach of the PTHS boys basketball team for three years, beginning with the 2016-17 season. His overall record was 55-33, and the team was district runner-up each year.

Prior to that, Thomas was head girls basketball coach from 2011 – 2015.

During the four years he coached the girls team, his overall record was 105-25. The girls team was district champion each year during Coach Thomas' tenure, and was region runner-up in the 2014-15 season.

"Coach Thomas is a good man and a good coach," said PTHS Principal Art Davis. "He has helped his players grow as athletes and has helped them develop the character and discipline needed to be successful in college and beyond. He has been a great role model in our schools, on the court, and in the community. I wish him the best."
