Tilghman Football Coach Suffers Stroke, Steps Down
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Three weeks before the season opener,
Paducah Tilghman High School is without a head football coach.
Multiple media outlets are reporting
that Blue Tornado coach Steve Duncan has stepped down due to medical
issues. Duncan reportedly suffered a stroke earlier this week and
had to be hospitalized.
Duncan helped lead the Blue Tornado to
a 5-7 record last year, his first season as head coach. Tilghman fell
to Elizabethtown in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.
Tilghman is set to open the 2018 season
Aug. 18 against McCracken County. The school has not named an interim
coach.
