Tyler’s history with football dates back as early as third grade, when he started playing in the Tornado league. He is also a member of the PTHS track and wrestling teams, and is an AP student.
“He has worked very hard, both in the classroom and on the field,” said Athletic Director Dwayne Wall.
“I think Tyler has learned a lot,” said former head football coach Randy Wyatt. “If he uses the things we have taught him over the last few years, and applies them to the best of his ability, I know he’s going to be successful.”
“He’s a college football size player and moves well,” commented head football coach Mike Rogers. “He’s physically very strong, and has a ton of potential.”
Coach Rogers, who has two former players currently at Pikeville, expressed excitement for Tyler’s future.
“You want your kids to do well, and see them grow up to be great productive citizens.”
“I’m looking forward to the football program and meeting new people,” said Tyler. “The Pikeville campus is small and homey.”
