Due to repairs of the court surface, the Parks Services Department is restricting access to three of the six tennis courts at Noble Park.

Paducah Public Information Officer Pam Spencer said that late yesterday, staff began using an acrylic latex mineral filler to repair the cracks on the playing surface, which must be allowed to cure for several days. The courts being repaired are surrounded by caution tape to restrict public access.  Once the filler has cured on the three courts under repair, those courts will reopen and work will begin on the remaining courts.

Cracks in the court surface began years ago, but have grown in size due to annual freezing and thawing. Spencer said the repairs will extend the life of the playing surface and provide a smoother surface for players.
