Postal Service to Unveil Stamp at Slugger Field

LOUISVILLE, KY - The U.S. Postal Service and the Louisville Bats are set to unveil the latest Forever stamps featuring baseball greats Joe DiMaggio, Larry Doby, Willie Stargell and Ted Williams.

The new stamps will debut before the Louisville Bats game at 11:30 am Wednesday at Louisville Slugger Field. District Manager Sam Jaudon and Louisville Postmaster Jenny Bennett with throw out first pitches with baseballs featuring a postmark and past postage stamps of legendary baseball players
Jackie Robinson and Babe Ruth, both of whom used Louisville Sluggers.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. will receive one of the postmarked baseballs. Events are planned in Cooperstown for July 20 and on July 21 in New York, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Boston, where each of the players starred.
