Broadway Rehab Project to Begin Monday
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Beginning Monday, July 9th, the contractor working for the City of Paducah will start concrete sidewalk and street repair work along Broadway, between North 31st Street and Lone Oak Road. This is the stretch of Broadway by the old Coke Plant.

After Harper Construction's concrete work is complete, Jim Smith Contracting will begin asphalt resurfacing.
The work is expected to be completed by July 31st, weather permitting.

During the street rehabilitation work, crews expect to keep one lane of traffic open and maintain access to businesses. However, for the safety of the crews, drivers are urged to find an alternate route. If you must drive through the work area, watch for work crews and traffic control devices.

During the construction period, avoid parking curbside of any of the areas scheduled for rehabilitation.
This street rehabilitation project is part of the City of Paducah’s annual street improvement plan. Part of the funding is provided through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Municipal Aid Program, collected from the state gas tax.
