PADUCAH, KY - A two-vehicle collision blocked a busy street during the evening commute and injured one person.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened just before 5 pm. Deputies responded to the intersection of Friendship Road and Lakeview Drive, and had to close both roads due to debris and damage to the vehicles.

Deputies say 40-year-old Kevin Baker of Paducah was westbound on North Friendship Road when 82-year-old Bertha McDonald of Paducah attempted to turn from Lakeview, but pulled into the path of Baker's SUV.

Deputies say one driver was hurt and taken to a local hospital, but did not specify which driver.

The intersection was closed for about two hours until the vehicles could be removed.
