Husbands Road Closed Today for P&L Railroad Repair

PADUCAH, KY - P&L Railroad has closed Husbands Road (KY 2187) on Paducah’s Southside due to a broken rail in the crossing at mile point 2.589.
This rail crossing is just south of the Bridge Street intersection between Bridge Street and Dixie Avenue.
A rail crew waited until after the morning school bus run to close the crossing. They expect to keep the road closed at this site for about 6 to 7 hours to allow repairs to be completed.
There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour off KY 1954/John Puryear Drive via Hovekamp Road and Estes Lane. Trucks should access the area from the south end of KY 2187/Husbands Road.
