Lane Closure Next Week Near St. Mary School
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH, KY - Elmdale Road adjacent to St. Mary Middle/High School will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday.
The City of Paducah says the work zone will extend south from the school's entrance about a hundred feet. A contractor will be improving the drainage along the edge of Elmdale to eliminate the erosion that has been occurring near the entrance to the school.

The project involves the realignment of the drainage ditch away from the edge of Elmdale Road in addition to the installation of a new headwall, junction box, piping, and rip-rap.

The project will reportedly take about a week to complete. Storm Water & Drainage Engineer Eric Hickman says the project will help protect the road by improving its drainage system.
