Mom, Daughter Treated for Injuries After SUV Crash
By West Kentucky Star Staff
LYNNVILLE, KY - A Tennessee woman and her daughter were injured in an accident Friday.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened in the 7000 block of Kentucky Highway 381, just south of Lynnville. Deputies arrived at the scene to find an SUV had struck a tree.

The investigation of the crash led deputies to believe that 27-year-old Brittney Demoss of Palmersville, Tennessee had a seizure, which caused her to lose control of the vehicle. The SUV ran off the road and into a yard, where it hit a tree.

Demoss was trapped inside the vehicle, so Mayfield Fire Department was called to the scene to free her. She and her juvenile daughter were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, which deputies say were not life-threatening.

Demoss was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, and the child was in a car seat.

Deputies were assisted by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Cuba Fire Department, the Mayfield Fire Department and the Kentucky State Police.
