By West Kentucky Star Staff
CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY - A two-vehicle crash on the Pennyrile Parkway Friday morning sent three people to a local hospital.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 troopers responded to the area of the 16-mile marker in Christian County at 10:47 am. They determined that 63-year-old Sandra Munabbih of Hopkinsville was northbound on the parkway when her vehicle began to have mechanical difficulty. She entered the turnaround lane to go south, but as she did, her vehicle was struck from behind by a southbound Jeep driven by 25-year-old Chase Noel of Ellettsville, Indiana. Noel told police he didn't realize how slow Munabbih's vehicle was going, and couldn't avoid a collision.

Munabbih and her passengers, 70-year-old Minnie Hunter and 67-year-old Shirley Lamar, both of Hopkinsville, were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries they received.
