Cancer Warriors Walk returns to Metropolis in October

The second annual Cancer Warriors Walk of Hope will return to Metropolis on October 5.

A day of fun and resources for those impacted by cancer will happen from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dorothy Miller Park on the riverfront.

Those wanting to participate in the walk-a-thon can pre-register by September 6. Pre-registration is $25 and comes with a t-shirt. Otherwise admission is free for kids games and vendor booths.

Proceeds benefit cancer programs in the lower seven counties of southern Illinois.
