The next two weekends are busy with the majority of local Christmas parades taking place across the area:
This Saturday starts with the Metropolis Christmas parade at 1 p.m. The parade will begin at Washington Park, coming up Ferry Street to Fifth Street, going around Superman Square and ending at Ninth and Market.
Paducah's Christmas parade will be this Saturday at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at 14th and Broadway and travel to downtown on Broadway to Water Street.
Murray's Christmas parade will take place this Saturday starting at 5 p.m. The parade route will start on 10th street and continue down Main Street past the court square toward the old Briggs & Stratton lot.
The Marion Christmas parade will be on Main Street this Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Calvert City Christmas parade is set for this Saturday at 6 PM along 5th Avenue.
The Cadiz Christmas parade will kick off this Saturday at 6:00 and will follow the traditional route from behind Trigg County Schools along Lafayette Street, Midway, and Main Street to West Cadiz Park.
Princeton's Christmas parade will take place on Friday, Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
The Salem Christmas parade was originally scheduled for Nov. 29, but has been postponed to Saturday, December 13 at 5 p.m.
The Benton Christmas parade will take place on Saturday, December 13 at 5:30, after family events on the court square beginning at 3 p.m.
The LaCenter Christmas parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
Mayfield's parade took place on Sunday, Nov. 30.
