Dancing for Gold fundraiser in March fights childhood cancer

The Book for Hope childhood cancer organization presents its annual Dancing for Gold gala event at the Paducah-McCracken Convention and Expo Center on Saturday, March 18.

Dancers are currently selling tables. Locate the online link at www.bookforhope.org and click on "events." Each table seats eight and the table price includes dinner. Table sales end Feb. 28. 

A silent auction and free-style dancing for everyone also are featured. Proceeds will assist families with a child actively receiving cancer treatment in western Kentucky or southern Illinois. Additionally, some 32 percent of the money raised goes to childhood cancer research. 

Doors open at 5 o'clock; the dancing competition starts at 6 p.m.
