Calloway Resident Dies From COVID-19 Complications

A Calloway County resident has died from complications related to COVID-19.

This marks the county's second COVID-19 death since the pandemic began. The county's first virus-related death was on April 7.

The Calloway County Health Department released a statement Monday, offering condolences to the person's family. No other information about the death was released.

The department also announced one new confirmed case of the virus in the county. The total number of confirmed cases there now stands at 123. Of those cases 96 have fully recovered, 21 are isolated at home, and four are hospitalized.
