The Justice Run put on annually by West Kentucky Community and Technical College is scheduled for Saturday, April 15th at 5 p.m.
The event features a 5K walk/run and a one-mile fun run/walk.
Alpha Epsilon Beta, the criminal justice club at WKCTC, sponsors the event in honor of National Child Abuse Awareness Month each April. Since its inception in 2011, Alpha Epsilon Beta has raised more than $21,000 for Paducah Child Watch which works to prevent child abuse and also helps children with treatment.
Gary Reese, WKCTC criminal justice program coordinator and AEB co-advisor said, "I am so proud of all the AEB students over the years who have worked hard on our Justice Run and other events to help fight against child abuse. This year's students and I encourage the community to join us again in supporting Child Watch and the children who need it the most."
Entry is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the one-mile fun run if you register before April 1st. Those fees include a t-shirt. Without the shirt, the entry for the one-mile event is $10.
Online registration is open by clicking here, or you can email Gary Reese at garyl.reese@kctcs.edu.
