According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, at least four tornadoes touched down in southern Illinois on Wednesday.
Storm survey teams found evidence of an EF1 tornado in Jackson County. The tornado was on the ground for two minutes on a mile-long path, with wind speeds of 108 miles per hour. There was one reported injury during that storm.
An EF0 tornado was confirmed to be in the Lake of Egypt area in Williamson County. That tornado was on the ground for more than six miles, with winds of 80 mph during its 7-minute run.
On the Jackson/Williamson County line, an EF1 tornado was confirmed. That tornado was on the ground for 16 minutes on a 4.5 mile path, with winds of 90 miles per hour.
Storm survey teams also found an EF1 tornado in Saline County. That tornado traveled nearly nearly 8 miles in 17 minutes. It had wind speeds of 95 miles per hour.
No other injuries were reported.
