A Benton man faces several charges after a call about possible domestic violence led to a standoff in Marshall County.

Officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Jacob VanWaters, and attempted to find him at his home.

VanWaters was leaving his house as officers arrived. They stopped his vehicle, leading to a five-hour standoff on I-69.

VanWaters was eventually taken into custody and charged with strangulation, terroristic threatening, unlawful imprisonment, and wanton endangerment.

He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
