Bridge replacement begins on Old Mayfield Road

Contractors for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet got started on replacing the Bottom Ditch Bridge in southern McCracken County.

The bridge on KY 994/Old Mayfield Road was shut down in May after inspectors determined that the structure had deteriorated and could not be repaired.

The target date to complete the bridge replacement is December 22.
