The Calvert Drive-In has announced a reopening date after a year of uncertainty.
Opening night will be next Friday, June 16th showing The Super Mario Bros Movie and Fast X, the latest installment of the Fast and Furious series. Those two will be featured on June 16th, 17th, and 18th, along with the 20th, 21st, and 22nd. The drive-in will be open Tuesday through Sunday and closed Mondays.
Admission will be $10 for everyone 12 and up. For ages 6 through 11, it will cost $2 with 5 and under free.
Gates will open each day at 4:30 p.m. with the films beginning at 8:50 p.m.
Last month, new owners Seth and Tabitha Manea said they were going to bring back the drive-in that first opened in 1953. Manea added that they planned to make as few changes as possible and assured the public the burgers will remain the same.
Previous owner Steve Harrington and his family had operated the drive-in theater for over 68 years.
