A combine and a corn field caught fire Saturday morning and had to be put out by the Cuba and Sedalia fire departments.
Firemen received a call at 5:32 am about the combine, which was fully engulfed as fire crews arrived. The field was also starting to burn.
Five trucks and eight firefighters took about an hour to put out the combine and contain the field fire.
The owner of the combine said the machine had been last used on Friday afternoon.
The fire occurred during extremely dry conditions from lack of rain since early August. Graves County and five other western Kentucky counties are under burn bans until substantial rain can ease the situation.
