Decomposed body found in wooded area of Paducah

The Paducah Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation with the McCracken County Coroner’s Office in a wooded area near the 1300 block of Tennessee Street. 

Officers responded to the area today after receiving reports that a person was found deceased by contractors working in the area. The remains were in a severe state of decomposition. 

The McCracken County Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for tomorrow.
