E-sports have arrived in Marshall County 

The Marshall County Parks Department has completed preparations to hold an e-sports league in the fall.

The season would run October through November and include the games Rocket League, Madden22, Super Smash Bros., Fortnite and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. 

Organizers said the league would be divided into three groups, youth division (ages 8-12), teen division (ages 13-18) and adult division (ages 18 and older). Marshall County Parks said the season would start the week of October 3, with games being played on varying days.

Those interested will participate from their own homes by purchasing a GGLeagues fall esports pass for $40, allowing them to compete in as many different games as they would like. The registration deadline for the fall season is September 28.
