After the resignation of former Calloway County High School principal Bobby Love last Tuesday, rumors began circulating on social media that he was involved in inappropriate interactions with students. On Wednesday, rumors  on social media indicated Love had been arrested.

However, the Murray Sentinel reported this weekend that they had spoken with officials with the Murraay Police Department, Calloway County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police at Mayfield and the Calloway County Jail and Love had not been arrested and added he was not under any investigation.

Calloway County Superintendent Tres Settle said in an email sent to parents and guardians Wednesday that Love had resigned for "personal reasons" and would not be on campus for the remainder of the school year.

Love had been named Calloway County High principal July 1st after being an assistant there the last three years.
