Fulgham pair charged with animal cruelty after puppies found on roadside

Two people were charged in Hickman County after a number of puppies were dumped on the side of the road.

According to a Facebook post by the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office, a man called them November 17 after he found the puppies that were dumped on the roadside and took them home.

Deputies said after an investigation, Donovan Franklin and Brooke Bodkin of Fulgham face charges including nine counts of second-degree cruelty to animals.

Deputies said most of the puppies have found new homes.
