The Inland Waterways Museum announced Tuesday the return of Julie Harris who retired as the organization’s executive director in 2022.
Harris will serve on an interim basis, effective immediately, spearheading the institution’s continued advancement while the board mounts a search for a permanent leader.
A Paducah native, Harris succeeds Polly Brasher, who held the Inland’s top post until earlier this month.
The Inland Waterways Museum, located at 117 S. Water Street, is housed in Paducah’s oldest downtown building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Inland Waterways Museum over the years has become a key destination attracting visitors from all 50 states and over 15 countries through Paducah’s travel and tourism efforts.
