One injured in helicopter crash at Cape Girardeau airport

A helicopter crash at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport Sunday morning sent one person to the hospital.

Shawn Morris of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department said it happened on runway one. He also said airport employees were treating one passenger when they arrived. 

The injured passenger was taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment. 

Further information on the crash circumstances or the passenger's identity was not released.
