KYTN reports that, in a 3-0 vote, with one member abstaining and one absent, Chief Tony Grogan was placed back into a patrolman position.
The vote came Wednesday following a closed session, during a special called meeting.
Grogan has been with the Hickman Police Department for 20 years, serving as Chief for the past 19 years.
Reports said the board named City Manager David Gallagher to serve as administrator of the Police Department until an interim Chief of Police can be named.
