Joint drug investigation snares Benton man on trafficking

A joint drug investigation snared a Benton man on trafficking charges on Thursday.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Calloway County Sheriff's Office teamed up for the investigation. Deputies and detectives from the two departments caught up to and stopped 64-year-old Jimmy Myers of Benton for careless driving along Brewers Highway. That stop also helped them uncover narcotics in the vehicle.

Myers was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
