Three local school districts to receive historic funding through the bipartisan House and Senate version of the state’s budget.
Mayfield, Marshall and Livingston County School Districts will all be receiving state funding as lawmakers prioritize funding Kentucky classrooms at historic levels.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the legislature’s investments in rebuilding our classrooms and our community,” said Representative Richard Heath. “This funding will help us meet the needs of all learners for generations to come.”
In the announcement made Friday, Mayfield Independent Schools will receive $10,686,200 for various construction projects, including renovations and improvements to Mayfield High School.
Both Livingston and Marshall County Schools will be receiving funding for their Local Area Vocational Education Centers. They said Marshall County would be receiving $9,590,200 and Livingston County $5,687,000.
