Lyon County fugitive captured after fleeing on foot

UPDATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON:
The subject was captured today by Kentucky State Police and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office in the 4000 block of KY 730 near Eddy Bay. 

The suspect had earlier fled on foot in the Saratoga Heights neighborhood near I-24.


ORIGINAL STORY WEDNESDAY MORNING:
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office put out an alert for residents near I-24 after a felony suspect fled on foot.

In a social media post, they warned residents in the Saratoga Heights area and along KY 730 near the back of Eddy Bay of the individual who fled capture. The man is described as a black male wearing a black zip-up shirt or jacket and gray sweatpants.

Anyone who sees someone matching the description should not approach, but rather call 911.
