Man arrested on numerous charges in Crittenden County

A man was arrested Monday evening after trying to get away from authorities in Crittenden County.

The Crittenden County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police attempted to arrest 32-year-old Edward "Butchie" Piper on a parole bench warrant.

Piper fled from officers on foot through a field and was apprehended a short while later, found hiding in a ditch and brush pile. 

Piper was also charged with fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance. 

He was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
