The woman, 38-year-old Maria Shadonn Clark, has not been in contact with her family since February 4th. Clark was reportedly seen on surveillance video at a gas station convenience store off the AA Highway. That was at about 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, February 5th. According to The Crittenden Press, Clark purchased fuel and a phone charger for an Android phone.
Captain Christopher Lauer of the Campbell County Police Department told The Press that while Clark was known to have an iPhone, the Android charger could suggest she had a second phone. Police said she appeared to be alone, and appeared in the video to have a normal exchange with the clerk. He said a ping of her cellphone had her in the Greater Cincinnati area several hours before the video was captured.
In the interview with The Crittenden Press, Captain Lauer said that early the following morning, though, her license plate was picked up by a private license plate reader near Huntington, West Virginia.
An investigation was launched, and her information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database. Police in Marion and Crittenden County are helping however they can. All agencies ask that anyone who may have heard from her, or have information as to her whereabouts, contact them.
