A Marshall County man has been sentenced on charges related to importing and distributing a controlled substance.
On Wednesday, twenty-nine-year-old Jevan Sheppard was sentenced to eight years in federal prison for importing and distributing U-47700, commonly known as "U-4" or "Pink."
According to court documents, Sheppard pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, importing a controlled substance from china, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance from November 2016 to March 2017. He also pleaded guilty to distributing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute in March of 2017.
He was arrested in 2017 following an investigation into two overdoses in Calvert City. Detectives searched Sheppard's home just outside Draffenville, where they uncovered U-4 packaged to sell, other drugs, a drug ledger, and several loaded firearms.
