The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is warning the public of an uptick in catalytic converter thefts.

The sheriff's office urged the public to park vehicles in a well-lit area close to their home. If that's not possible, they recommended at least having video surveillance of your parking lot or driveway.

Anyone with information about the thefts should call the sheriff's office at 270-527-3112 or through a direct message on Facebook.

Residents that see something suspicious are encouraged to call 911 or the county's non-emergency line at 270-527-1333.
