A Mayfield man was sentenced to federal prison on Tuesday on a weapons charge.
The U.S. Attorney's Office, along with the ATF and the Graves County Sheriff's Office, announced that 29-year-old Jed Wilson was sentenced to one year in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.
The case stems from an incident in July of 2021 when Wilson was the subject of a domestic violence protective order and was discovered to be in possession of a shotgun. The order specifically prohibited Wilson from having any firearm.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office and the ATF conducted the investigation. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Paducah
