McCracken man charged with possession of handgun by felon

A McCracken County man was arrested Friday for possessing a handgun by felon and marijuana. 

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Palestine School Road in West Paducah. They cited the driver and impounded the car.

While on a residential property at the traffic stop, detectives said they made contact with 44-year-old Tobey Wren, who was allegedly under the influence of illegal drugs. They said they located a loaded concealed handgun on Wren’s person and two bags of marijuana.

Wren, a convicted felon, was arrested for possessing a handgun by a felon, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.
