McCracken County man facing meth, marijuana charges

An investigation into suspicious activity ended in drug charges for a McCracken County man early Saturday morning.

A McCracken County deputy was patrolling the Lone Oak community just after 2 am and stopped to speak with a man walking along Lone Oak Road.

The deputy said the man, identified as Richard G. Nelson, was acting suspiciously, and a search reportedly uncovered illegal drugs.

Nelson was charged with trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana.

He was taken to the McCracken County jail.
